Mark last
night’s Bulls victory on your team calendar with the big ol’ star. It will
stand out as The Turnaround Game this season.
As I have said,
the team is young and it needs time to grow, to learn to find its ice legs. And
it looks like those legs are getting good and strong. In three out of four
games, the Bulls scored first. They continue having a strong presence in Third
Period play, scoring twice to beat Bakersfield 4-2.
Peter Sivak’s
energy is revving up, he’s probably very happy having Slovakian Marek Viedensky
on the team! Peter was born in the Czech Republic but raised in Slovakia.
Speaking of
Vieds, as he is called, he is one of the big producers of the Bulls, which also
includes Sacha Guimond, Dean Ouellet, Sivak, Captain Justin Bowers and Kris
Belan. But that short list doesn’t
include those who are simmering and may soon break out into red hot players. Keep
your eyes on: Jamie Devane, Joe Sova, Alex Tuckerman, Andrew Crescenzi, Justin
Bowers and Dylan King.
I also want
to give a nod to Goaltender Thomas Heemskerk. At the first of the season he was
a little raw, losing a couple games that might not have been lost to a more
seasoned goalie, but his play is sharper, reactions faster and my confidence in
him is building.
The greatest
test for the team comes this Friday when they take on the Ontario Reign. This
will show if they have the meddle needed to take on one of the best teams in
the division.
GO BULLS!
